EIS Summer Camp 2026 Scholarship Fund

There is so much change and upheaval in the world right now and the impact is being felt right here in our own backyard. In San Diego, low-income families are among the hardest hit when education programs are reduced and budgets are cut.

This summer, one significant change has hit low income families. Level Up San Diego, an eight-week summer camp program offered at no cost since 2021, has been entirely eliminated. While parents in more affluent communities can afford the vast array of summer camp experiences, the families in our community cannot.

Do you remember your own summer camp experiences? Being outside, making new friends, field trips, and activities are the hallmarks of traditional summer camps. At EIS, we do all those things in a STEM-focused environment that keeps students engaged in learning and reduces the summer
learning loss.

The severe cuts to summer enrichment come at a huge cost. While their parents work, children will spend the summer locked inside and in front of a screen. These parents know that social interaction, fun, fresh air, and positive role models provided through camp are the best choices for their kids. Yet without financial support to pay for camp, children inside to ensure that they are safe.

By acting now – you can make a difference. Our objective is to
provide 150 families with free tuition. A donation of $300 covers one student’s whole week with us.  Your donation will provide peace of mind for hard-working parents who want the best for their children. Your gift will start new friendships, spark interests, and make memories for community children in southeast San Diego
