EIS programs focus on developmentally appropriate, hands-on activities that foster interest and skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Each class has a maximum 12:1 student-instructor ratio.

This Fall we have two exciting programs for curious young learners:
- Science & Art Academy (Ages 8–10)
Hands-on experiments, creative art projects, and fun take-home creations that blend science and imagination.- Saturdays: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM or 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
- Robotics Academy (Ages 11–13)
Build, code, and design robots while working together to solve challenges.- All-Girls Robotics: Saturdays 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Co-ed Robotics: Saturdays 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
10-week Semester: $300 (one class per week for 10 weeks)
Tuition is prorated automatically if you register after the semester has started.
Each 10-week session has a different theme and set of activities. For example, we’ll explore Video Game Design, Chemistry, Biology, Cooking, and Ecology in different modules throughout the year. This means your child can enroll again for future semesters and enjoy all-new projects and challenges!
Yes! You’ll choose one specific time slot when you register:
- Science & Art Academy: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM or 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
- Robotics Academy (All Girls): 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Robotics Academy (Co-ed): 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
Once you select a time slot (AM or PM), your child will remain in that group for the full session.
Yes, the sibling discount is as follows:
- First sibling: 10% off tuition
- Each additional sibling: 20% off tuition
Since classes are only offered on Saturdays, make-up sessions are not available.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the first class → Full refund
- Cancel less than 24 hours before the first class or after the program has started → No refund
- We’ll do our best to arrange a transfer into another semester if space allows.
We use the same eligibility guidelines for EIS program scholarships that the San Diego Unified School District uses to determine if you qualify for free or reduced lunch. It is based on your household income and the number of people living in the home.
Yes! A healthy snack is provided during every session to keep our learners fueled and focused.
Yes. During online registration, you’ll be asked to:
- Agree to our Indemnification & Liability Release (required)
- Accept or Decline our Photo & Media Release (optional)
Families requesting financial aid must send documentation of eligibility. Please email a copy of your child’s free/reduced lunch approval letter or another form showing financial assistance eligibility to scholarships@eisca.org.
Limited Aid Available on First Come First Served basis.
