Students will engage in hands-on activities that explore engineering, geology, biology, environmental science, chemistry, computer science, photography and more. All lessons are taught by emerging STEM professionals.
We recommend students sign up for either a Thursday or a Saturday session during each season (Fall, Winter, Spring). There is no limit for Winter, Spring, or Summer Break Camps.
Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the programs reaches capacity, registration will be closed. Scholarship application deadlines are posted on our website.
If the program is filled and/or registration is closed, send an email to info@eisca.org with your contact information, and we will get back to you in the event that we are able to accommodate your student. Scholarship waitlist will only be available to those who applied before the application deadline.
EIS places students in groups according to grades. This makes it possible for our instructors and education director to develop lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for students. Therefore, EIS can not guarantee placement of students in specific groups.
If there is space available, you may request to change weeks. A $20/student change fee will be applied to accommodate this request.
Refunds will be issued based on when EIS is notified of cancellation, prior to start date.
- 1 month or more = Full registration fee refund minus $20 processing fee
- Less than 1 month prior to program start date = 50% refund
- Less than 2 weeks prior to program start date = 25% refund
- Less than 1 week prior to program start date = no refund.
We use the same eligibility guidelines for EIS program scholarships that the San Diego Unified School District uses to determine if you qualify for free or reduced lunch. It is based on your household income and the number of people living in the home.
Please complete the scholarship application section on the registration form by the deadline posted on our website. Scholarships are NOT guaranteed. EIS will review all applications and notify scholarship recipients within two weeks of the start of the program via email or phone. Please note, there is a $25 registration fee for each scholarship application. This fee will be refunded if your student does not receive a scholarship.
